Events supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month
September 24, 2009 — ‘N Style Salon is hosting a variety of events in October supporting breast cancer awareness month, being kicked off on Saturday October 3, 2009 with Pink Hair Extensions, Power-Dose Blow-Dry, breast self exam information, raffle prizes and goodie bags.
According to the American Cancer Society breast cancer is second only to skin cancer as the most common cancer in women. It is estimated that in a group of eight women at least one will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.
“We are dedicated to making a difference in the fight against this terrible disease,” said, Clay & Tiffany Friedman, owners of ‘N Style Salon, “we believe that even one breast cancer diagnosis is too many.”
Starting on October 3rd and continuing through October 17th customers can show their support by getting 1 to 3 pink hair extensions or a power-dose blow-dry with a $10 donation. Raffle tickets for a basket with AMAZING prizes will be sold with the drawing October 17th @ 2pm (winner need not be present). Appetizers hosted by Queen Ann’s Stitches will be available on October 10th.
All proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
